                            (8 weeks)

    October  1  –  November 19    2015

                  Thursdays    (1 – 4 pm)

                         202 Lake Avenue Silverton

This bereavement program sponsored by the New Denver Hospice Society and is modeled after the successful program developed by Susan Breiddal of Victoria Hospice Society.

Facilitators Sue Mistretta, M.A. (Silverton) and Alice Watson, M.A. (Burton) will provide a safe, supportive & confidential space for participants to explore their grief and to discover a healing journey which cultivates compassion and acceptance for the array of intense feelings & confusing thoughts experienced through loss.  The program is open to anyone who is going through a grieving process after losing someone close to them, whether the loss is recent or in the distant past.  We will explore grief through writing exercises (journaling), collage and other simple art processes. Participants will come to understand and normalize their grief experience and will learn hands-on skills for dealing with life after loss. No experience in writing or art required. Limited to 10 participants.

PROGRAM  FEE: Members of New Denver Hospice Society $35.00 non members $50.00
